Did anyone see Maria Menounos interview America Ferrera after her win last night? Was Maria's demeanor nasty or what?

I watched the Golden Globes, and I have no idea what Maria was thinking. America already passed by the camera then came back so I'm sure someone / production motioned for her to step to the camera for a post win interview. I think Maria just wasn't aware, she was too distracted by her own spot!
It isn't just that but she asked really strange questions such as "what about the people who didn't want you for this role?" and America is like "what people?" I was like WHAT PEOPLE too because from what I know she was considered for the part from the beginning. Then she started insisting that America thank the people she forgot to thank! What was that about! I really think Maria didn't do it intentionally but she really didn't have a clue and didn't ask good questions, I was cringing!

I thought just the opposite... America was not supposed to be interviewed by Maria.. Maria was just segueing to commercial... .. and America just stood there on camera looking silly...
Maria saved her by actually interviewing her so she didn't look like a big idiot on camera.
