Do the opposite of what Sharme tells you.
Do not learn formulas by rote. Understand them.
If you make a mistake, by all means correct it. Better a correct answer with a smudge on it, than a tidy error.
And no, teachers are not looking in every corner of your paper to find an excuse to mark you down. Teachers also don't mark you down for doubts. At least, decent teachers don't do that. Sharme, your math teacher but be one sick specimen.
Lastly... don't work to "score" good marks. Work to better understand the math. The marks will follow.

that's a pretty difficult question...
Difficult because it's hard to read without feeling pity and it's pretty open ended.
Math is math.. been around a long time. At your level, there are no new tricks. To do well, read your text book. Use the examples in each chapter to do the exercises at the end of the chapters. And do your own homework. Pay attention in class. double check everything.

You can improve in mathematics by firstly learning your stuff off by heart and knowing how to do every type of question with your eyes closed in that topic. Keep revising after every topic. this may drive you crazy but you'll be surprised of the outcome. x) PS. when solving questions, write down every step coz THIS is what scores you points in tests. You may get the right answer but not know how to explain it clearly. Hope I helped. :3

the most important thing
first have a cool and calm mind without any negative thoughts and start solving the questions which form the base of your chapter dont right away move on to hard questions let your mind adopt to the method of solving and then you can crack any question in that chapter because you have a well solved root that will sure yield a good plant.

Hai!
First you have to work questions papers. You have to learn all the formulas byheart.
Second you have to present your answer sheet neatly without any strikings. If you strike and do sums again and again, the teachers who are correcting your paper will know that you're
doudtful about that problem. So they will search every looke & corner of your paper to find mistakes and reduce your mark.

i too have the same problem... but i have started getting over it. according to me, i think you should first change your opinion towards math as a dry subject. once you cultivate interest in it, it can be amazing! as one of them has said, understand formulae rather than byhearting them... this way you can easily recollect them by derivations even if you forget them. solving question papers with a time limit also helps. work out problems in your weak areas. dont shy away from them. dont panic if you dont get a problem.. try try and at last you wil succeed. all the best!

first you must try to understand the concept & while the teacher taking the class you don't divert your mind to other things.Regularly after you went to the home, you must try to practise to solve the problem. Because in maths subject regular practise is must.Because hard work only does not gives success, continuous hard work only will give success.

THE BEST WAY TO SCORE GOOD MARKS IN MATHS IS TO DAILY PRACTICE MATHS ATLEAST FOR 2 HRS . IF U HAVE THE GUD ABILITY 2 CONCENTRATE THEN 2 HRS IS OK. HERE D MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT WHAT EVER U STUDY DO IT WID FULL CONCENTRATION AND IF U STUDY WID CONCENTRATION THEN 1 HR PRACTICE WILL ALSO DO WONDERS
