The doctor might now know the newest numbers yet. I have a inside source that has told me the numbers already. They will be calling us today to make an appointment. they were just waiting to see if the new numbers were any different.

If she is 5 weeks from last menstral period the average hcg level at that stage is about 7,000 so still in the hundreds is very low. Also, the levels should double every 30.9 hours and hers does not seem to be doing that. It is possible to continue and have a healthy pregnancy and baby but the odds are just not in your favor. Try to keep your hopes up but be realistic.

It could be tubal or it could be a blighted ovum which would also have slow rising numbers instead of the typical number doubling. I'm very sorry for your loss having been there before.

"Slow-rising hCG. Unfortunately, even if your levels are rising, the failure to double every few days is not a good sign. This type of pregnancy can go on for several weeks, but will almost always end in miscarriage. A single set of tests that do not show a doubling can still be fine. Usually another set will be ordered if you are low or borderline."

I think that if your doctor had any major concerns....ecspecially if there was a possibilty of it being tubal he would have had your wife in for an ultrasound to check on the location of where the implantation had takien place. There is a chance if.and I have no idea wether or not in the matter, your wife had the possibility of it being tubal your doctor would be serious on the matter, If it were tubal and the fallopian tube ruptured it could make it even harder to conceive due to scarring and the possibility of having to have the tube removed.

Usually the numbers double. So with the 150 it should have been about 300 a couple of days later. Make sense? I hope it isn't. Good luck
