5.21m is 17ft 1 inch
2.23m is 7ft 3 inches

So the carpet is too long but more crucially, too narrow.

If you're shopping and you see carpets in metres, it needs to be at least 3.97m x 2.44m

If the bed's fitted then the carpet would be fitted around it same as with a fitted wardrobe. If it's not, then you'd need to move the bed to one side of the room, fit the carpet on the other side and then lift the bed over to the fitted side of the room while you finish the other half. It'll be tricky and probably not possible in a small room. If you're employing a carpet fitter they might refuse to help move the bed in case they hurt themselves so you might need to do that yourself with friends or family.

Convert the ft - meter (Son's room)
Length - 13ft(1meter/3.281ft) = 3.96 m
Width - 8ft(1meter/3.281ft) = 2.438 m or 2.44 m

So, the carpet won't fit in the room as it is 1.25 m longer in length and is 0.21 m shorter in width.

But if you still don't believe me, try buying it and see for yourself. After all, regrets always come in the end...

convert feet to m
1feet = 0.3048 m

so your sons room is 13*.3048 = 3.9624 m in length and 8*.3048 = 2.4384 m in width.

Since 3.9624 meter is smaller than 5.21, the carpet is too long for your son's room. Try the dining room.
