Recently I have joined a tele company where I have to promote the telephone connection. My boss told me I have to visit my relations first. But I don't want to because I don't have good relation with any of them because most of them thinks I am waste. They made up their mind like this because I have been ill for more than 3 years and couldn't get any thing. I was had some sort of psychological problem and was looking physicaly fit so they thought i am avoding from work. I want to prove myself. How I can achive best under these tough conditions??? Please help me your suggestion will be mean a lot for me.

The toughest customers are often the family.
One thing you can do is call the fam. and say. HI Ya, thanks for hanging in with me during my rough patch. ( AS IF) Then tell them your boss wants you to pitch the phone services to them.
Just when they think your about to launch into phone pitch hell.
Say, but I don't want to ask anything like that of you after all youve done. Can you please let your friend take this one for you? Maybe a neighbor or coworker or heck your boss? Make it fun and light laugh a lot and let them know you are not quitter so they can just get over themselves and start to act like a family.
Don't totally let them off the hook to help you, I mean damnitt that's what family is for!! So go for it. Give them a little taste of the new employed you. Don't be afraid to make them a tad uncomfortable, they didn't mind giving you a kick when you were down. Now you're up and at em. Go get you some family referrals at the very least.
If they say, Oh I can't think of anyone right now, say that's ok I'll wait while you get your address book. Otherwise, I'm just going to have to launch into my pitch like my boss ordered.
If they didn't think the lame you was too hot wait til they get a load of the healed you. Jerks!!
You go get them boogers, make them pay a bit for being so damn stupid.
Very best of luck! Get used to it, sales is for the tough. If you don't feel tough, fake it.

y u go for relations then, hope u have some other friends, or just increase the demand of the tele company product through advertising, or visit every home as a sales rep, first relax yourself and dont think that are not fit, first try anything....u will acheive only when u try the word TRY!

I can tell you from years of experience that sales organizations that want you to start by selling to your relatives/friends are typically not worth working for. Many times they will terminate your employment after a few months of "selling to your relatives".
Find a real company, with real sales leads.
