It looks like it's "Give it to the Democrats, they know what to do!" I mean seriously.. it looks like he never had a plan and is just HOPING that the Democrats will mess up.. His "5 year plan" was just more smoke and mirrors.

More program and budget cuts that he has already destroyed by the recent deployment of the Military troops to Iraq. Bush doesn't have a budget plan and never did. Republicans believe that America is the richest nation and credit is never repaid. Look at the present deficit, and the long list of Republicans that raised the deficit when they were in office from Ronald Reagan. It creates depression and inflation, which is the goal always of the Conservative movement. Why would you ever create jobs when you can just create havoc, and raise all of the living costs without promoting new jobs to influence the economy. This is the Republican view point.

Basically, we are being lied to on a daily basis. Your understanding simply blends into what the core group running the country wants us to believe. As long as we have something passionate to complain about, the politicals know we won't be talking about the real issues that they can't or won't fix!

Forget balancing the budget, we can do it buy printing more money or by asking for our debts to be forgiven, consolidate or traded. What really needs to be put up front is the National Debt! 9 trillion and counting. And now, countries that have supported the dollar for years are starting to change their monetary systems. Success of that change would send us into hyper inflation and ruin our economy.

You are absolutely right: "Smoke and Mirrors" but look behind the mirror and you will see fire!

The over spending Congress close him down. He has tried to strive against with Congress yet he did not favor to shutdown the authorities to win the strive against. Congress is in value of spending and passing all spending costs each and each and every of the President can do is both signal it or not.

anyone who didn't see that coming during Bush's first term, is terribly naive.

when everyone signed the back of those checks Bush issued to everyone in the form of tax cuts, we were signing an agreement, that democrats would have responsibility, good or bad, of fixing Bush's fiscal irresponsibility.
