I am writing a story and I want one character to say to the other character, "I believe we will bag our limit' (discussing fishing) but I don't want to use the word bag or limit.

Why not - this is the correct term and only term outside of crazy bunk that people would say. I've been fishing for 35 years and have never heard of any other term for this. Might change your story line. LOL.

I believe we will catch so many fish, this boat won't be able to stay afloat! And then we'll sink. And that megalodon that has been circling underneath us will devour us like popcorn shrimp. Oh, you didn't see that megalodon? You thought they were extinct? Nope, there he is now!! Oh wait...it's a female. There SHE is now! aaaaaaaaahhhhh!! We're done for!! She's bagged us!! Maybe she's reached her limit? No!!!! Goodbye, cruel world.
