i would like to go the end of july to first week in aug. is this a good time to travel to cancun?

I did that once, jumped from the frying pan into the fire. No matter where you live in the Northern Hemisphere going to Cancun or Acapulco or these Mexican Beach places in the summer time will guarantee HOT and HUMID! If you like that it will be good. Otherwise the best time is January to April.
The summer months can be rainy. But not to worry, when it rains in these beach cites the drops are usually warm.

Usually starting in Oct. it rain more than normal, but remember hurricane season at that time. for more information on cancun . visit www.riucancun.net

My friend and I went on the last week of august and it was sunny! Even though on the forecast said rain all week. I guess beaches are very hard to predict.
