Al Gore is a fine American who served in the military, in Congress and the Senate, not to mention his Vice Presidency.

Al Gore was elected President in 2000, but Republicans sued and took their case to the Supreme Court to prevent a full recount of votes in Florida, knowing as was later shown, that Gore had indeed won the election in Florida, as well as the popular vote.
