Bush supporters say, to date, it was only 10's of thousands. Anti-Bush supporters claim reports of over 600,000 deaths and half a million forced to leave their homes.

Now there are UN reports saying well over 34,000 was killed in the year 2006 alone (based on hospital and Iraqi government numbers)!

So what's going on here? We know that when the US invaded, it was US bombs that killed civilians - Bush supporters claim that "they were just casualties of a just war" to make themselves feel better I guess, however even children were among the casualties.

We also know that civil war in Iraq is causing most of these deaths today and the US influence in Iraqi government is the cause of civil war anyway.

But why do Bush supporters (mainly the media) insist in only looking at underestimated reports? Doesn't even underestimated reports of death bother their conscience at all?

The reason is because the US does not want to show the real bloody results of its aggressive invasion to Iraq.
