Nature plays the biggest role here. Since women are naturally able to give birth, natural instincts and dispositions are vital. Therefore, being sensitive allows women to love and nurture their offspring, sort of like in the animal world. If a mother is not sensitive, she may kill, neglect or abuse her children. Isn't it wonderful that women are sensitive? Women can and do "think" and feel at the same time. Sometimes both men and women choose not to think. Either way, sensitivity is not such a bad thing to have. Although, I do believe that too much sensitivity can become a negative virtue.

Women are no more sensitive than men. Some people show it, some people don't, men & women alike. Some people are not sensitive at all, be it men or women! :) And that's just life. :)

I tend to be more cold-hearted then most girls, even guys I know. It's not that I'm just like that. I respond to how they behave and if they act like morons, I want them out of the gene pool.

because one half of the human race have to be. Also I believe men are always trying to look at the big picture and their place in it While women already know they have to look after what is in front of them, and deal with it

Yes, there is that much of a difference.
Women as a rule are very emotional.
The ironic thing is, they don't think that they are overtly emotional or sensitive, they just think that men are insensitive and by their standards I suppose we are but I prefer to call it being objective.
It is just their nature to be that way.
