At this time, the french prime minister wanted the Queen to be Queen of France. The english prime minister refused and suggest to welcome France in the comonwealth, then french prime minister refused. Isn't that so surprising!

The prime minister never suggested that France should be part of the commonwealth rather it is the other way round.
Yes France wanted the queen of England to be their own queen as well,because then France was suffering from economic problems and they needed the British people badly.
This is one of the reasons why the French hated the British people - as you can see it is something that is in their bone marrow

Was it summat to do with the France and England's (along with the Israelis) comical action against the Egyptians in Suez Canal...which (it is argued) signified the end of the British Empire -was born a year afterward, and honestly not too read-up on it, but was 1956 the year when the relationship England & France was the closest ever?

there was no French Prime minister in 1956, President Degaul
hated the British, so there goes your ???????Lord avon who was prime minister then ( aka Antony eden) did not want the uk in the european common market, neither did degaul he was the only asshole who voted this down.

it would be a bad idea,but then again france often relies on us brits to help them out,not once but twice in the last century.french often get short memories,now they align themselves to the germans.confusing ,but history will tell you that these two nations have both tried to rule europe in the past.
