I think mostly we have some real bad apples who just treat them like ****.

In the office: Keep them from reaching higher positions in jobs and advancing other men's careers, leaving women out of important discussions or meetings.
At home: makes women do all the domestic chores, cleaning, cooking, dishes, laundry, childcare, et cetera. In other words, he won't lower himself to doing what he sees as 'woman's work'.
In schools: asking boys more questions than girls, listening to boy's opinions over girl's opinions, ignoring sexual harrasment of girls by boys, funding the boy's sports teams and not the girl's.
In general: making fun of career-oriented and/or intelligent women, female bosses, female sports players, female lawyers, female police officers, women who don't act dumb or ditzy, women who 'threaten' them, et cetera. Making crude comments about women. Making vicious jokes about women. Believing women have a lower mental capacity. Ignoring things said by women, 'because they must not matter or be valid'. Believing women are only there to serve and/or amuse men. believing women are here for the titillation and/or servitude of men. Believing men are superior to women. Physical, emotional, and mental abuse. Wife-beating. Sexual assault.
