Why do loads of people, especially from the US, go on about Jewish people being a powerful ruling elite when the US government is full of far right Christians (and the Church, especially Catholic, has money, power and even gets the Swiss Army to protect it in silly outfits)?

Where do you get your information? Most Americans do not think Jews run the world. Someone has been feeding you anti-American propaganda.

I don't necessarily agree with the opinions you state in this question, but for arguments sake: Let's say the Jewish community really is a powerful ruling elite. Regardless of how many "Chrstians" are in the US Government (I have a hard time just taking them at their word because of how they act. We are supposed to know Christians by their actions) if a big business somehow has hold of the government through money or whatever, who is the government going to try to please? How many Christian leaders are against abortion but have never taken a real stand on that issue and tried to outlaw it because they are afraid of who might vote them out or what kind of funding they'll lose? I don't think it matters one bit what religion is in office or whether they're Republican. It matters who is leading them around by the nose

Most Americans do NOT think that way - only a handful of uneducated racists and anti-semites.

You are also incorrect about Christians running the government. Ours is a SECULAR nation.
