I can honestly say I have never watched any of those shows and don't intend to.

ME! I've never watched Lost, Survivor, Am Idol, Desperate Housewives, 24, The OC, The Real World/Road Rules, etc. Some of it's just mindless entertainment, although I hear Lost has lots of twists and turns. I just never found it interesting, maybe cuz I didn't watch it from the get-go.

American Idol is so last year Desperate housewives is soo well the story is going nowhere just a bunch of women who acted dumb

I don't watch tv for that very reason. No matter where you turn there is something stupid like, as you said, American Idol and Desperate Housewives.

Well, AI is coming on AGAIN tonight, I have watched it all the seasons, every episode, every year, but lately I have not been watching ANY tv because of other real life projects, so turning on the tv is actually hard to do. (I find myself, no matter how engrossing the show is, wanting to do something else.) 24 came on Sunday night and last night and while I watched it, and it's okay, it was hard. I proabably will watch, loosely, because I'm not that interested. That was long and drawn out.....lol

Those shows were so hyped up a few years ago they are not even good anymore. I am not a fan of AI, but I used to like DH. They talked about that show so much and totally overexposed that Eva Longoria when it first came out that the show sucks now

I guess it comes down to "whatever floats your boat" I like Idol to only see the dumb-asses come on and make a fool of themselves. Desperate Housewives is a big time soap opera...hate them!!! But again its all what you want to watch....I suggest Prison Break!!!
