Both Zidane and Beckham to Real Madrid. Since they didn't win any trophies. But when you've got money, why not go for the best?

It's a fact! David Beckham's transfer from Real Madrid to L.A. Galaxy. There is supposely no other more expensive transfer than that one.
Oh and in English language, as in the one in America, the dollar sign comes before the amount of money:
Correct: $250,000,000
Incorrect: 250,000,000$

Zidane's transfer to real madrid from juve. It cost 70million++ Euros and that record is still not beaten yet.
Others say it's beckham. No way! there's no significant transfer fee involved on his move to LA. What they are thinking is the salary not the transfer fee.

to all the people saying becks, thats not a transfer fee. thats his salary(50 million for 5 years) and endorsements(200 mil for 5 years possible) assuming jersey sales, image rights etc. Basically trying to promote the game in practically the only coutry where its not the most popular sport.

david beckham's move doesn't count as an over priced transfer. the money involved is his wage not a transfer fee.
it has to be shevchenko for £30m- he has bearly scored any goals this season.
