Thanks. I just meant that there is no father figure around. I'm working with the school and they are helping me. But today I and my mom had to pull him out of bed, and I had to dress him while my mother held him.He cried for over half hour straight. This is not the first time either. I can't carry him to my car. It's awful.

I would talk to him about what is going on at the school. You describe: "I had to dress him while my mother held him.He cried for over half hour straight. This is not the first time either. I can't carry him to my car." It sounds to me like he is being bullied or something very upsetting is going on at the school. Your son's reaction does not sound like a merely bored child. If it is something awful going on, you should try to see if you can solve the problem or maybe post another question here when you know more what is going on.

I am almost positive something is going on with your son that he is finding very stressful, and I hope you will find out what it is, and try to help with him it.

So, when did he get the idea that he was the adult in this relationship? His not going to school is against the law. Many states will start with fining you & if it continues the court looks into foster care for the child. His education is your responsibility. Do what it takes to get him there – counseling, the school has resources, call them; punishment, let him know that there are consequences for his behavior; change schools if he’s threatened at the school he’s currently enrolled at; help him with his homework or get a tutor if he's not doing well in school; consider military school.

As his mom you need to tell him that he either goes to school, or you are going to turn his butt in. An education is a valuable thing. He is going to get no where in life without it. As for men, you don't need one! Sometimes men are more of a pain than help. Good luck1

Having a man in your life is a big help sometime, but it could be worst. You don't need to wait until you have a man in your life to discipline your child. It is your job to let your child know who is a mother and what she there for. Giving him a tough love is the best gift for your child.

You try to persuade & counsel him regarding benefit of school going. After all, you are his best teacher as a mom.

I see your point. it must be tragic. does your dog snore ? I have a cat that eats flies. The other day I was driving my truck and a song came on the radio. it snowed and the grass is gone now... I think the sky is blue on nice days...
