If you're a foreigner looking person (non-Asian look), then the best way is to learn self-introduction in Japanese. Make sure it's about 10-second speech, a short - "Hi, my name is so and so" won't do the trick. Something like name + from where + I'm a big fan of Japanese culture...etc., you get the idea.
