Very surprised by all these answers. It seems people are either pig ignorant, or feel they have better things to think about.
Shilpa is a victim of racial abuse.
She has been called a P*cci", by jack.
While bitching about shilpa behind her back, Jo has repeatedly taken the mick out of her accent.
To say Jackie is racist is tricky, Ignorant would be the appropiate word. She has reffered to Shilpa as "The indian", which is just damn right rude and ignorant.
Danielle has made many spiteful comments about shilpa, and judging by the sly laugh she does, after each "borderline racist" comment she makes, ill leave you to judge whether u think her comments are racist.
Then where left with jade who to my knowledge has not made any racist comments herself, but is the biggest bully of the four, and will stop at nothing in attempting to make shilpa feel worthless.
Jade by the way, laughs at the ignorant comments made by the other girls, so it doesnt take much to work out why jade is so intent in bullying shilpa. And she lives in bermonsdey. If you dont know about Bermonsdey, i suggest you do some research. Because it pretty much answers this whole debate.
Conclusion: Im not sure what else can be done to stop the racial abuse. Channel four have decided to cover up the issue, which is expected. Thankfullly, other channels are reporting it, and even on the daytime program "loose woman" everyone seemed to agree that their is racial bullying taking place in the house.
Once again i must add im very dissapointed in many of the replies u have so far recieved. These people most likely are just as ignorant as jade, no nothing about other cultures except their own, so would not be able to recognise the racist jibes being thrown at shilpa. They show no sympothy, and it only shows up their lack of morals and common sence.
Dont let these people get you down, believe me, the majority feel as we do.
PS: For those who are ready to backlash asking...."But you didnt say what racist things they said in the house".
It is not my job to research and analyse every racially intended sentence that was made towards shilpa. If you really had any interest at all in making a fair argument, rather than just replying negatively, then you would investigate this situation for yourself.
Hope this has helped =)

im not being funny but i can honestly say i havent witnesses any racism or bullying on bb, if you was to watch the last few shows over again you would realise that the banter is between all of them not just against one person!! Is it ok for shilpa to imitate jo's accent? but not for jo to imitate shilpas? Is advising someone how to cook a chicken bullying? NO! Please stop wasting your time with this silly question, Shilpa chose to enter the show and is being paid an awful lot of money for her time, she is free to leave at any point. You possibly feel sorry for her as she is reacting strongly to words from average people, she is adored in Bollywood and she has met people who do not know her, therefore why would they roll the red carpet out for her? I am not a racist, nor do i tolerate it, but i feel you are taking this a long way too far. Bullying is child's play and bb bosses would not allow such a thing to happen on live tv!

Interestingly, when I mooted in a Question on Celeb BB a few days ago that there was racism involved in the way eg Jade and Danielle were treating Shilpa, it was often refuted by those answering the question. But I guess we have to go with the majority now

What racism/bullying?
Not being funny but if Shilpa was of British White origin receiving exactly the same treatment no-one would even batter an eye-lid.
Its only because she is of ethnic origin there is all the fuss - this is where the world is going crazy!!!
E.g. Every year on BB/CBB people have arguments or certain people dont interact with each other....but as soon as its a White person not "getting on" with a person of ethnic origin......the race card is being waved.

No i dont think of that there is any racism as such happening. i think of that's extra to do with a existence-style conflict. i think of those issues are continuously blown up right into a much better deal than they actually are. To lots interest is attracted to racism which i think of purely makes it worse.

You don't explain what the racist comments were..........
This situation reminds me when Grace didn't like Suzie in BB this year and gave her a hard time, it was unpleasant but both girls were white so racialism never came into it. Sometimes people just don't like each other regardless. Bullying is a different matter.
Have people forgotten Jade is black all the more reason that its unlikely that she is racist.

I could not agree more with you.
It is not surprising that all the young British contestants carry such prejudiced views. They are growing up in an atmosphere where the media constantly demonises immigrants and anyone with different views or cultures.

How about just shutting the rubbish down?
There doesn't seem to be any ACTUAL racist comments according to the news. For instance ''The trio mocked Shilpa's attempt to roast a chicken and initially refused to eat it, claiming she had not cooked it properly''
That's not racist thats sensible- who wants to end up with a bad stomach?! ;-)

Shilpa is very pretty. Jade Goody is as common as muck, -that's why she is perfect for a crappy show like Big brother.
