Hi friend, starting your own business is a good thing but remember that there are many risks involved. You should study the market well and come out with best solution you can find. Don't be afraid to start a business on your own but get advice from the professionals first before you jump in. $30,000 is a big sum of money so think twice before you use it. My advice is to you friend, study the market first and try to keep the invesment to the minimum for safe. Because you will never know whether it's going to be good or bad. What ever you do, good luck to you buddy.

A friend should never give or accept a loan from a friend.
In this case, with the limited amount of information its feeling like a scam to-boot. Ask yourself what does this friend want in return, and if you know this friend as much as think you do.

sounds like a bad idea. What's in it for your friend, and why would he/she offer you this? Protect yourself first before you get into a bad situation.
