What are the best brands for electrical items in the home?

I know sony for my t.v.-home theatre, stereo, mp3. What are other good brands? Also I have an older oven and do not know what oven to buy- I have heard about Miele? What brands are good for a fridge, kettle, toaster, espresso machine?

I have heard of people having problems with GE, but I myself have never had a problem. Kenmore brand from sears is good, Roper is an offset of kenmore. And you probably already know this, but there are several brands that are made by other brands, i.e. the roper/kenmore connection. I would consider finding your fave brand or the number one answer on here, and researching to see who really makes it and what brands are offsets, to save you some money! Good luck.
As for small appliances, I like cuisineart, toastmaster, etc. They are widely available brands and generally cheap. My rule of thumb when I shop is this; I look at the cheapest of the cheap, and then I step it up to the middle....say I see a coffeemaker for $8, I look at it, then I look at one that's 12-15 dollars...I compare features, how sturdy it looks, etc. Most kitchen appliances have warranties as well...for a year or so.

YESS! It's fantastic! It leaves your hair soooo smooth and shiny :) but make sure what wash every bit of it off! In 2010 i got this horrible pixie cut and i regretted it so much. i started using hair masks, coconut oil, and prenatal pill and now my hair is almost to my waist and healthy. Black and Decker for small appliances, Kenmore or Whirlpool for larger ones.

Kitchenaide is a very good brand. I have GE appliances and they are also quite good.
