ROCKANDROLL: Bush most certainly did try to confuse us! Right after 9/11 Bush was busy trying to sell us to us that Al Queda had ties with Saddam. What are you going to tell me next? The Holocaust never happened???

Of course they do. A big reason for this is the fact that the whitehouse deliberately blurs the terms terrorist, insurgence and sectarian violence.

That is to assume GWB really believed Saddam had any involvement in 911. From many observers and insiders he was going to attack Iraq no matter what, he just need an excuse hence the 911 connection. As far as sectarian violence goes, it just like what happened in Bosnia. As soon as the USSR fell, no one was around to force a peace and so old wars become new again. What did they expect would happen with the removal of a dictator? I hate to say it but Saddams terror over his people is what kept them from this sectarian violence in the first place.

I think that most Americans regardless of political ideations and affiliations have this whole thing confused. Most don't want to look solely at the cold, hard facts -- the Democrats are notorious for this. As for me, I'm a conservative/independent and find myself often times embarrassed to think I'm associated with Republicans, having heard what comes out of the mouths -- who just don't get the BIG PICTURE either. I deal with the facts, not conjecture and the subjective of "He said, She said..."
