It is the manner in which the company does business. For instance the Owner or share holders tell the CEO what to do, the CEO tells the Managing Executive what to do, the Managing Executive tells the Branch managers/Department Heads what to do, they in turn tell the Sales Manager what to do, he/she tells the sales people what to do. The sales people sell stuff and then give the order to the Sales Manager and he/or she tells the Shipping/Warehouse Manager what to ship out. Then after the sale the accountants talley the sales and report to the Chief Financial Officer about profits or losses. The CFO then reports back to the Board or Owner regarding the companies profitability. This entire description is an Administrative System. Basically it is the General telling subordinates how he/she wants things done.

A corporation is a body engaged in some business or social work etc. Any organisation needs administraion to run it. A corporate administrative system may be single tiered (located at just one place) or multi-tiered (an organisation with several branches and a head office). It could be multinational too for large coporations, with each country unit adminstering itself as per the company's policy and the countruy's law and reporting to the Regional Headquarters and they in turn reporting to the HQ.

It is almost like a Business Administrative System but all Corporations need not be businesses. Any corporate body needs to adminsiter itself and needs an adminsitrative system. A foundation involved in social work also needs to have an adminstration system. It is like the human body which needs a head, with a brain and a nervous system to coordinate the entire activity.

Now a days, Computer based systems are available for this work.
