The bump is probably the enlarged womb. The uterus fills with some fluid straight away to protect the foetus, but you wouldn't feel the baby itself until much further along.
I always looked four or five months pregnant from the first week and went straight into maternity clothes, but generally it's about three to five months that you start showing. Just depends how your body reacts.

Every women is different. I am pregnant with my fifth baby and I felt the baby move for the first time at 17 weeks. I am now 25 weeks and I feel the baby move constantly. If it is your first baby if may take you a while longer to feel the first movements which will actually feel like little bubbles popping inside of your stomach. Sometimes it may feel like little butterflies moving around in your stomach. That is my experience and I hope that it helps give you a general idea. Good luck to you and Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Do you mean feel it move or see any outward signs. It is different with everyone. I felt my baby move at 14 weeks, which I believe is quite early but I was showing a large bump even then and by 6 months I was huge.

Hi I didn't show until 5 1/2 months pregnant, but when lying down you can feel your womb get bigger before then. And she first kicked at 19 weeks. It felt a bit like when you've drunk too much liquid and it gurgles! Congratulations and enjoy your pregnancy, its all over quicker than you think.

Around 14 weeks is when the uterus is usually able to be felt.
But it could be a little sooner or longer, depending on individual bodies.
