Hi Amber!! this is the same name i opted for in Yahoo Answers but couldn't get it(maybe b'coz you were having it).I am from maharashtra in 10 std.Even i study state board and want to pursue Software engineering. You don't need to worry b'coz you are in state board.there are many successful people who have studied in small schools but are now ruling the world. At the end of the day hardwork counts the most.so wake up and strive to achieve your dream.you can get scholarships to support your education and don't forget that today girls are on the top(better than the boys).
Best of luck
hope to meet you when you are a software engineer.

Forget what board you are studying from. Study hard and get good marks. A lot of colleges will only give a couple of percentage points extra for CBSE and some none at all. So the actual marks that you get are most important. Concentrate on your 10th and 12th the most. These days due to tough competition a lot of colleges will look at your 10th results also apart from your 12th.

I know a lot of people who have gone to good Computer Sceince Graduate colleges with state syllabus, so don't worry and just get good marks!

U have achieved The half of the sucess by setting the goals!

Now, I feel parents are only see their child's good fortune in life

So don't worry and be a good child of your parents.

Reqarding CBSE fear, I want to say that there are many men/women in country who are set their achievemnt even without study!! So don't worry about the CBSE.!! After all they have same mind as you!! And they are not god , simply human.

I was student of state level board ( not CBSE ) though I am good professional today in field og IT !!

I am doing computer engineering and many of my friends are from state boards. It doesnt make any difference that from which board you belong. For satisfying your parents only your marks can help you, if you top the class your parents never dare to stop you to make your carrier but if you will not perform well in ur board exam your parents can use it as a excuse.

its just about what u think and how u study. Its not that cbse students are very intelligent or so. u should currently concentrate on ur studies and try to achive good marks.
