Im 19years old and on friday night me and my boyf had sex. We used a condom but it came off and we didn't realise straight away. He didn't reach orgasm but I know sperm could still have got inside me. I took the morning after pill on the next day (saturday) so i should be ok right? the only thing is my period was also due on the saturday and i still haven't had it. I'm now 4 days late and i'm getting quite concerned. please help...............?

I don't appreciate some of the patronising comments on here.............whats wrong with me asking!! I'm asking coz ive never been in this situation before, I'm not sure of the effects of the morning after pill, and i was just looking for some advice. if you can't help then why bother even answering the question.

Firstly don't listen to the negative comments on here. There is always a possibility of you being pregnant but after reading what happened i would say it was very unlikely that you are pregnant.You can only get pregnant around ovulation which varys in time for different women but normally about 14 days after last period. The morning after pill might mess about with your periods but it might be stress so try to stop worrying about this!! Hope this helps, x

Very, Very unlikely and unlucky if u are. 1. U took the morning afta pill and u have 72 hours to do this. It is almost 100% effective, but not quite 100%.
2. Your period was due on the sat, so your most fertile time is usually 14 day to 21 days after the first day of your period, so that would have been upto about a week ago. Still not definate, but hugely unlikely.
3. Also your partner didnt come. Even tho there will still be semen in the condom, and it only takes one slippery little sucker, your again, would have to be very unluck. With all those odds, i seriously would'nt give it another thought.
4. You could possibly be late with your period because of stress. Are u usually every 28 days, or r u sometimes more or less. If defo 28 days and u r late, then u mite b preggo, but not from this weekends rumpy, but maybe earlier in the month. If you didnt partake or have any mishaps before the weekend, I think your ok. Let me know tho. PS digital preg tests can detect a pregnancy from a couple of days before you r due, so set your mind at rest and do one, get ya boyf to pay, it thats a prob.

Usually (but not always) you can only conceive when your are ovulating, which is around day 12 of your cycle. Considering you must have been on day 27 or there abouts and you took the morning after pill i think it's highly unlikely that you're pregnant. I managed to delay my period four days last month just by worrying about it's absence. Hope things work out ok, i'm sure they will.
P.S. I'm with you regarding all these people giving patronising answers. It's really annoying.

Hi there, as you where due to start your period on saturday i should think it will be unlikely that you are pregnant. As the sperm would have not reached the egg as you would have passed your fertile window, which is usually between 14-16 days after the first day of you last period. The Morning after pill could have caused your period to be late. If you still havent started your period in the next three days i should pop to your doctors and explain your situation.

I was exactly 4 weeks pregnant. I found out the day my period should have started. Normally I would have waited, but something didn't feel right so I took a test. I am now 21 weeks 3 days w/ baby 1.

I wouldn't start stressing for about another 3 weeks because yes there was a small chance you could have got pregnant but the fing is he hadn't quite finished you took the 72 hour piil at the earliest possible chance meaning it was the at its most effectiveness and the pill will mess up your period for another month because it has just given your body a hell of a lot of hormones so your first cycle of it will mess you up only worry if you were sick after taking it

don't panic! I had my son at 19, he was planned but it still hit us hard. there were a few occasions before this that we had sex with no protection and we didn't conceive on these occasions so it doesn't happen every time.
buy a test from a chemist if you can afford one if not go to the family planning clinic, your doctor will tell you when they are, you can usually just ring up the reception of your GP surgery to find this out too. they will test you in the same way for free. you wee in a container and they test it there and then. If you can take the first wee of the morning in with you.

To ease your own mind your better off taking a pregnancy test, at least then if your not pregnant you can stop worrying. There are a number of reason why your period might be late, you could just be stressed. You probably have nothing to worry about. Hope everything works out alright for you.

Well you could possibly be pregnant but it is a very very slim chance and it is more likely that you are just stressed out so much that your period is delayed for that reason. If you still don't have your period by next saturday take a test.

I have to say that that would be the case of the most unluckiest combination ever....him not fully coming, you taking the morning after pill but still turning out to be pregnant..if that is the case you are one fertile lady hun!! Its unlikely but still possible...id wait and see and if over the nxt few days you dont come on...take a test!!goodluck to you
