My daughter is complaining and I don't know what to do. It started last week. She'd point to her woohoo area and say owie or itchy. Yesterday she woke up with a fever. I thought it was a UTI because several times she jumped up, say owie, take off her training paints and put on new ones. So we sent to the Dr. and the test shows it's not a UTI. She took a short bath this morning and got out complaining of a owie in her woohoo area. There's no visible signs of irritation. The fever has the morning broken and she has no voice so that might be a separate issue. Have you had this happen to your child and if so, what did you do to resolve it?

She might have a kidney infection! You need to give her lots of water, and back her away from any soda or juice until she is all better!! I would not use any monistat on her though!! You can also take her to the doctor again and have them run different test! Children don't get their bladders empty all the way, so that is why this happens, bacteria builds up. Good luck :}

It didn't happen to me, but if it had I would have taken them to the doctor straight away. If the UTI result came back negative then I'd expect the doctor to do further investigations because clearly something is wrong. I'd also teach her the proper words for the parts of her body because woohoo area isn't likely to be very helpful to a doctor.

It might be irritation from bubble bath. Are you using bubble bath? When my daughters were little I found out that bubble bath and little girls simply don't mix. Anytime I tried it they would end up irritated. To relieve the irritation just keep the area clean (with water, not soap) Pouring lukewarm water on the affected are can be soothing for the short term.

You're doctor should be looking into this a bit further-could be a simple yeast infection.
