My best friend fell out with me because i said some things that i shouldn't have said. We have been best mates for about 2 yrs and we were always there for each other. I have said sorry and that i was in the wrong but he still doesn't want to know. Can anyone please help.

I would write a letter along the lines of "Ok, I know what I said was wrong. I didn't mean any of it. I was angry at the time and shouldn't have said what I did. Please forgive me for the pain I've caused you. It's killing me inside to know that I've hurt somebody I care so much about so deeply. Even if you do forgive me, I will never be able to forgive myself because I will always remember how wrong I was to say what I said. I don't deserve such a great friendship from somebody like you and will understand if you never want to speak to me again, but please just give me one more chance to change. Call me at ------- and let me know, ok? Sincerely, ----

If the argument is still too fresh, then let your friend cool off for awhile. Im sure he/she will come around. If your friendship was that strong, you'll get through this. I had a severe falling out awhile ago with my best friend and she stopped talking for a couple of months. But through that we realized the argument was petty and we wanted our friendship back. All you can do right now is apologize (like you did) and wait for your friend to cool down.
Good luck and I hope you guys become friends again.

If what YOU said was truthful, then you do not owe an apology. Just wait for your "best mate" to come to grips with the truth and then it is up to them to approach you.
If what you said was false then you broke a trust . Trust is hard to get back. Learn from your mistake for future relationships.

Write them a letter, pour out your heart and soul for them to forgive you, remind them of how special they were to you and bring up some of the good times you had,say I Am Sorry And say it like you mean it,(saying "sorry" won't cut it) goodluck, keep trying until they listen,or move on if they don't want your friendship, then at least you can say you gave it your all.

It varies from friend to friend and on the character type of the person. Some people need time and others need words.... wait a couple of days and invite him for something you both like to do.

Don't give up! "Best friends" don't come along every day... Just be sincere and honest with your friend. tell them how important they are to you.. ( try NOT to be too mushy) BUT if it takes being mushy... mush away! 'cause a best friend is such a special thing... I do wish you both the best...
