Sorry to hear what happened to you. Sadly many people are scared to come forward for fear of repercussions. If the boys knew she had seen them and they get reported - she is maybe worried that her or her property could be at risk. Its a sad situation of life nowadays xxxxxxxxx

Ask her how she would feel if they situation was reversed, and you didn't come forward to help her.
Imagine how you would feel if your comfort zone was disturbed through knowledge that you didn't want. Then you were too scared, not knowing what else they were capable off.
I sucks big time, but nobody can really put themselves in the other persons shoes. Hanging all your hopes on the possibility that these two were the ones and that your neighbour is the only one that holds the knowledge. That's going to do you a lot of good.
Hope this year is an improvement. Remember your neighbour is not the enemy!

Maybe she lives alone, maybe she is old, maybe she really is scared....perhaps of the police as well. It's not her fault you got burgled and even if she did come forward the police would probably not even look for the boys never mind catch them. It's a sad fact of today's society...set up a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme in your area.

Some people are fearful that when they report activity that is illegal to the police, they will have to testify in court. When they have to testify, their own identity will be revealed. Then, in their own minds, they feel there will be retribution to them. Anotherwords, either those boys, or friends of the boys, will break into their home, or vandalize their home to "get even". It is easier for this woman to not say a word. This way, she doesn't have to worry or be afraid. She is too fearful to report to the police.

I know you feel hurt, and asking yourself why GOD let this happen.Only so he can show up in your life. Thank GOD there wasn't anyone home, who may have gotten hurt. You live long enough you'll be able to buy more gift for the holidays. Those persons who stole from you will not get away with this act.I found out when a person who has the answer to your problem, won't help you take it to GOD in pray in JESUS name.

she seen them and she knows they seen her , she feels guilty but not guilty enough to be burned alive in her bed and she and everyone else knows that the police can't protect her in fact they probably wouldn't even try . self preservation is a strong incentive forgive her you can't understand how scared she must be .

Unfortunately I think you need to ask her this. She is the only one who can tell you why. Most people would of course but obviously she has her reasons for not phoning them. If you want closure to this then you need to ask her.
