Yes I care what celebrities do because they are very influential to my children. Espceially sports figures who are famous. They watch everything about them and think. . . .well, Barry Bonds got away with it then maybe I should try it. I personally don't care what the do or who they do, but being in the public eye is a lot more responsibility on their part than they realize. I try to talk to my children and explain that when someone becomes famous like a lot of these people do that their life is hard and someone is ALWAYS following them around with a camera or microphone. Now in the beginning it may be nice but would they like it if they were out with a girl having a nice time and all of a sudden are surrounded by reporters and cameras? I don't know if they are able to understand that yet, but I do try to instate in them that they are people too and fame will "get to them" in many ways.

They are not better then anyone else but the things they do surely are entertaining, both on-screen and off-screen. Doesn't matter who you are you should act in an appropriate manner at all times especially if the camera is always on you.
We care about what they do because we want to laugh. Life is hard, we need attraction.

Thank you!
That's what I want to know.
They are the same as us.
What really gets on my nerves is when one of them gets in the news for things that millions of others do every day. Example: Volunteering. Or even the woman (cant remember her name) who's house burned down last week.
Like they did something or experienced something no one else has before! Right...

Well, no. Personally, I think that celebrities are just normal human beings. However, it is because of human nature that makes other people gossipy. They enjoy learning about what happens to others and laugh about it. That's why the paparazzi are always chasing celebrities to find out what they are doing.

I really don't but I am sick of hearing about them constantly. I don't even really consider them real people. It's as if they live in a whole different world to me. I don't even understand why celebs get married either. It all seems to end in divorce and they have no morals.

they are just people. people who stand in front of a camera and yammer their pointless BS. George Clooney gets on my nerves the worst. Talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.

not me I cant stand anything that gets all up in the lives of celebrities. once out of the spotlight, they are no different than you and I, and I will not indulge in the glorification of such people.
