In the underground mode, i have progressed 14/111. to participate in the next race I have to have a reputation star for my car. But whatever i try to customize my car, I can't get a reputation star?

Try the Performance upgrades. Its more necessery than the visual, then try the visual tunings. Just a suggestion.

A reputation star is attained by the car your driving gaining a reputation for success in races. That means that when you find a winning combination of specs, stick with it and drive only that 1 car with only those specs for a few races to show artificial spectators that it's good. Then you'll get your star.
