my younger brother was playing with it and now every time i press play it says hold. its a packard bell mp-3 ...and i am needing help ...pleeese

ha ha... ... look for a switch that says "hold" and slide it the other way....
"hold" means that the buttons can't be pressed... so it doesn't get turned on or off on accident.

That's just a feature to prevent you accidentally pressing buttons. There should be a sliding "hold" button on there somewhere.
