I want something easy to use, for scientific/personal reasons...heart rate not blood pressure.... yes I know theyre related....

PS I am not good at taking my own pulse. I often have trouble finding it or keep counting it correctly

the nurse told me to count the beats for 15 seconds, then multiply that # by 4 and you have your answer, she said thats how they do it on all their paients

Yes, a simple watch with a second hand and your first two fingers will do well. You place your first two fingers either on the backside of your wrist or the side of your neck and count each beat for one full minute. You could also count for 15 seconds and multiply by 4 or for 30 seconds and multiply by 2.

six seconds is not long enough... you need to count the beat for at least 15 or better 30 seconds. There is not enough rythem in 6 seconds. If you count for 15 seconds multiply that with 4 and if it was for 30 seconds multiply it with 2 to get up to 60 seconds... that's why it's called beats per minute... :-)

Just take your own pulse for 6 seconds. Multiply the number of pulses in 6 seconds times ten and there's your beats per minute.

I have agagoraphpbia, and a wath that by pressing meassiers my hr. th ag can cause panic attacks and get to 290 bpm so yo see why I have it. I was about $80CDN email me and I will get you the model number and a suppliers web adress had mine a year now
