There are some printers out there that have Memory Slots built into the printer that lets you print straight from your memory card.
Ones like the HP Photosmart Printers which can be found here -> http://www.shopping.hp.com/can/printers/photosmart_printers/1/storefronts;jsessionid=FsXco2VHSz2CRW88TB2IIUVjzKyz0TuzRtTEIJX1ubEWzdAYxfns!-1257534393
There is also the Canon range of Photo Printers which can be found here-> http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=117
Then there are the Lexmark Photo Printers which can be found here -> http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/product/type/home/0,6904,204816596_653293757_0_en,00.html
These are just 3 company's that have the options to allow you to print from Memory Cards without the use of a computer.
The HP Range of printers are better in my opinion because they have the most portable ones available to date which can fit in your luggage bag and go with you any place any time and print when ever you wish :)

Wait til you get the Mac, then buy Photoshop (Elements 4 for Mac will probably do for a while. Then you can trade up if you need to. CS3 is the current "pro" version. But it's pricey!). I've been running CS for several years and also have Elements 4. I've always loved my Epson printers. The 3800 is my current favorite, although I don't have it yet! For anything larger than that, use a good lab to do your printing. Doing it yourself can become very expensive. I use either a local printer who has an Epson 9600 or a lab in New Jersey (El-Co Color) that does amazingly good posters (20x30) for $9.95. But if you want creative control of the entire process, it's good to do your own prints. The quality and longevity of today's printers is such that you will be able to make images that will last way beyond the time when you'll even be around to care. The sooner you get away from the PC and over to the Mac, the better off you'll be. The TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) comparison between Macs and anything that runs Windows is simply too good to ignore. My oldest Mac has been running for 8 years and refuses to quit! And I mean all the time, every day. Making the switch will be so easy you'll wonder why you waited so long. It's simple: when using a Mac, think like a human being NOT like a computer. You'll see what I mean when you get there. Good Luck!
