The best cars in the world are the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corrolla. Anything more is just status. You could buy a new Civic every two years for the rest of your life for the price of one Gallardo. The Gallardo is an awesome car but is not practical, is expensive to own and maintain and really can only be afforded by the very wealthy. In my area, the insurance alone on this car would be in the neighborhood of $2000.00 per MONTH with a good driving record (which probably wouldn't last long if you had this car LOL).

As a compromise of luxury sport handling price, the best at most things: BMW 3 series As a family car for quality and handling, shifting, price, durability: Honda Accord As a sports car (not the fastest), that any dumbo company can make, see Koeniiggen, Mosler, Pagani, Bugatti..all cars either 1000 pounds lighter than real cars, thus very dangerous and impractical, or bloated with engine size and many turbos and very heavy like the Bugatti. That's why they don't compete in F1 where everyone has the same engine size and weight).. that would be either a Ferrari 458 Italia for its incredible connection driver-road like someone else here said or 599 GTO..a high-tech bomb! The guy who said italian cars are for people with...well, I am sure he's not endowed himself.

It really does depend what you're defining as "best." There are cars that allow you to do every kinda of activity these days. If you're talking about technological advancements and speed within the class of the lamborghini gallardo, then yes, multiple car reviews and well known critics have said the Bugatti Veyron is currently the greatest "exotic sports car" ever created. Top Gear did a review of it and they called it the greatest car ever......and they've driven and raced all the big names.

I would vote for the Ford Pinto also. It is just so funny, and once I did get one for free! By the way, they were only made from 1971-1980, so there are no 82 models. By that time they were called Ford Escorts.

The best car in the world is the 1982...sorry 1980...FORD Pinto, sky blue w/ the fake wood paneling on the side. That car was a blast.
Actually, now that I think about it...I think it was the Ford Maverick that I'm thinking had the fake wood paneling...
