the videos load super fast on my internet connection, i pull in about 1.8MB a second, but
the videos play soooo choppy! is it because i have windows 98 se and my video card is old?

probably. the prob is more the card then anything. for good movie watching, you want at least 64 megs. if you have that or better, get a new computer.

You know the problem.
If you can, upgrade the OS and the card of your PC.
You may want to check if you have the hardware compatibility to do so.
Download speed is determined mostly by your internet connection, but once its downloaded it using your machine's resources to play it.
Its like renting a new Movie DVD from Hollywood Video but you can't enjoy it if your DVD player is not working properly!

Slow computers are one of the most reasons why playing video over Google or YouTube is because the computer is unable to keep up so in order to watch streaming video videos online is to upgrade the computer.

its not going to be windows, but it will be a hardware related issue if you have fast internet. Mainly its the video card.

there can b various reasons first try upgrading to XP that should work and also the videos on youtube are not of good quality so dont mistake dat as ur pc's/OS fault

most likely. but some videos need buffering time, hence, it will keep stopping while playing.
