I have been told that there is a voluntary recall on two different PlayStation 2 consoles. Please advise if this is correct and what I have to do. The console we have has the same number as one of the ones that is on recall.

Yup...it's true..... there was a recall on the PS2....here's the website that confirms it....and yes, Sony is paying attention to it.....so definitely get it checked out!

do you mean Playstation 3? Why would they do a recall on the old system? Either way even if they did a recall, I doubt anything will really happen if you got one.

Just call Sony tech support. They say somewhere in tech support details on the recall. They say the power supply is the thing they will replaced.

yea ps2s are getting old now that there is ps3s and xbox 360 and nintendo wii

there shouldn't be one since sony is concentrating on ps3's now. ps2 days are numbered.
