DO NOT get a monkey for a pet. Most people who get these animals to keep them as pets raise them from babies until they reach about the age of 5. Even if you do neuter the males, all monkeys can have a tendency (especially when you have no monkey experience) to become extremely aggressive. They will bite and claw you, sometimes to the point that you may become infected or need stitches.

It's extremely sad when someone gets a monkey for a pet and then gets rid of it, because they often cannot be resold as pets and get used for lab research. If you'd like to know more about how your fantasy pet will end up, look it up on google. Lab monkey is just what you'll be raising. Essentially you'd be creating five good years for the creature and then the rest of its life would be horrifying suffering.

Yes there are certain monkeys that can be kept as pets I would look on the internet for a petstore that will sell or discuss other kind of pets especially monkey's.

U could but I wouldn't because they need to wear diapers and they are a wild animal they can be unpredictable and stuff like that I wouldn't suggest a monkey as a pet

I think they are considered 'exotic' wildlife and you may need special housing (that is inspected before you can get the monkey) and have permits to have the monkey. Monkies are not naturally all nice and sweet, they take training otherwise they are on the mean wild side.

Yes you can! But u really have to bathe and clean him regularly the tend to have a very strong body odor!

Expensive to keep also and can become very territorial!

Before buying one make a list of the time you have available now, you may have to make huge changes in you life and consider things such as if he/she gets a disease, skin infections etc, and if you'll be able to cope and afford to treat him/her.
