The county is supposed to be. But you can't trust them. My in-laws fixed thier own because the county never would. Well, they got caught doing it. And the county did come out, and they told them it wasn't up to "code". So they re-did it. It looks a mess. And they have the same problem they did before. When my in-laws did it, they replanted grass and it looked really nice too. The county won't do that. This is in Indiana. Hope this helps.

It depends. First of all, are you in the city? If so are there ordinances that determine the distance from the road that is used as a right of way. Are you in the country? Then, it does not hurt to contact the county and get clarification on the issue. No need to fret however unless the culvert is gigantic. They are not too hard to replace. good luck

That depends on where you live.If you live in a rural area the county road dept will be responsible or the city if you live inside city limits. NOTE If the culvert problem is not causing damage to the public roadway it will be difficult to get who is responsible to correct the problem right away

i assume you're talking about the one that runs under your driveway. i don't know how it is in your state, but here in texas the property owner is responsible for buying the concrete culvert & the city is responsible for setting it. call your city street maintenance dept. & check several places before you buy material.

If you live in the country, call the county office and they will advise you on this. If you live in a town or city, call the administration office and they will advise you on this.

The county but getting them to repair it is another question. I had to use a lawyer and show that it was causing damage to my property

I don`t live in your state, but a little bird tells me you are, I don`t believe the tax payers would want the burden of your drive way.
