I have recently treated a patch of ground in my garden with well rotted farmyard manure and compost, before planting some 400 spring bulbs. My local squirrel has started acting like a dog that has found a dead crow or pile of badger $h!t. He/She runs around the area, rubbing itself in the soft layer of compost/manure turning somersaults, jumping up and down throwing the stuff up in the air, acting like a cat with a very large dose of catnip WHY? the soft tips of my growing bulbs are being devastated.

Before you shoot it, use it to your advantage. Get a videio recorder and get the crazy squirrels antics on tape. Then, submitt it to one of those tv's funniest video shows and make some money. $10,000 profit from a crazy squirrel would offset any other issues.

He is just a happy-go-lucky little squirrell, celebrating that the Winter is not too cold and happy that someone has given him something to do during Winter. Please don't kill him, i know Grey's are on the wanted list but, ag shame man.
I have one Grey squirrell that runs towards me when i call it and loves getting a biscuit. I did not even know they eat biscuits until my hubby told me they are tree-rats, huh, that did not amuse me.
I have ever had problems with squirrells destroying my bulbs have more problems with the neighbours cats digging them out.
I hope he gets over his energy session and leaves your bulbs alone.Good luck.

I suggested this squirrel in my dad's lower back backyard. He became huge! my dad were throwing bread and seeds out to the birds and Mr. Squirrel were ingesting all of them iciness. i'm confident he might want to take the Easter Bunny down.
