Um, the iPod shuffle is $80.00, and its hot. It holds around 240songs, and I get about 16hrs of battery life. No screen, but you are getting an iPod, and it looks so cool, and its so tiny!

in the iPod range, the only under-100 dollar mp3 is the shuffle, but its not quite worth it.

you might want to try

- Creative (www.creative.com

- iRiver (www.iriver.com)

- Sandisk (www.sandisk.com)

all of the three mentioned above are great brands, well worth the price. the ipod is fine, but you can always get better mp3s.

I have a Sansa SanDisk and it holds about 250+ songs - I got it off Amazon for less than $40. It's great and you can record as well as having a radio. Runs off one aaa battery so it's small, lightweight, and really easy to use.

Refurbished 1gb ipod nano. You can get it at the nano site. Doesn't have that much storage. Check craigslist. They have cheap ipod with lotsa storage sometmes. Ebay isn't cheap so I would eliminate that one. Try sansa or zune. I heard those are pretty good too.

We bought one of the Sansas for our daughter for Christmas, it was a 2 gig, with FM tuner for 79, and I think it is 89 off sale at Radio Shack.
