Does anyone else think that EAstenders has just become very tedious and uninteresting? I watch it from a very early age and hardly ever missed an episode up until about two or three years ago, now i cannot stand it. The characters are dull, the storylines are repetitive! i just read that they might be bringing back Lisa Fowler again.. is this all they really have left in the bag to pull, same old storylines. Lisa will return, with louise and Phil will try and get lou back again! seen it before.. bored now! its out of date and i cant see anyway back from here... no matter who they bring back or what they try, i think its time it came to an end! any conflicting or agreeing opinions out there?

I totally agree. Ive watched eastenders from an early age too and it used to be the best soap. I think i can safetly say now that even hollyoaks is better than eastenders!!! They have done all the storylines now and they need to get better actors.. they drag out the story lines so they go on forever!!!

Ye i always think Eastenders is over the top. Bianca just annoys the hell out of me and i agree that they are scraping the bottom of the barrel to bring her back but lets face facts, the soaps are being pushed to create more and more episodes as there is not enough original things being made at the moment, hence the constent import of american TV to SKY. I think Corrie, EE and even Emerdale is now on like 5 times a week so i think the quality in storyline has gone down. The best shows like / Shameless / 24 / LOST / Heroes etc only have to produce at max 24 1 hour shows per year so there is a big difference in quality.

Who is Lisa Fowler, Sorry.
Dont remember her, but yeah its not as good as it was.
I used to watch it all the time but now only on occasions when their nothing else on.
Dont want it to finish though, just change some storylines.

Haha what happened to that 'Eastenders, Everyones talking about !' slogan they used to have. Must have stopped using it because the only talking people do now is bad, bad, bad. I totally agree it they need to scrap it. It sends out all the wrong messages only yesterday did Phil tell Ben he could miss a day of school because 'its only 1 day' truancy alert. They shout about everything, its so far from the real life its stupid.

i totally agree. eastenders is so dull and boring. there are no strong characters in it at the mo thats the problem. they should bring back some villians to spice it up a bit!! the shows was cool when it had the likes of nick cotton, dirty den, dan sullivan etc!! i'm so bored of the stacy/max storyline!!!! get them out and bring some fresh people in please bbc!!

yes i agree with you, it is really boring and tedious, but believe it or not...the show is very educational for us foreigners and helps us understand the british way of life and your class systems!
but on the whole, the stories are becoming a bit tedious and i can understand if you have had enough

yes it has become a little uninteresting, but then they have got rid of the old time greats and brought in so real odd bods, it has kind of lost the Eastenders feel, and not replaced it with anything else.

It partly due to the fact that it is now shown 4 nights a week, instead of the 2 that it used to be.

I can only get to see it on BBC Prime, it's only shown on a Saturday and a Sunday, so not really on often enough to get that bored of it. But why it is so dark in the houses? Don't they have any decent lighting in London?
