I sometimes go out with Americans to karaoke bars in Japan. I've found most of them are terrible! out-of-tune! tone-deaf! monkey. How come?

Most people in general are bad singers. Why would you single out Americans?

Because most people are terrible singers OFF karaoke.

Just coincidence I would imagine. I do know that I have never found a single Japanese person who could carry a tune. And by the way, how many internationally known Japanese singers can you name? Now try American singers.

Hahahaahaa... Maybe Americans are really terrible in everything - not only singing karaoke.
But I do believe that you really know who Whitney Houston is....
She is one of the best American voices ever and the best singer in the world as well.

Because they didn't get up early enough to bomb Pearl Harbor would be my guess?
Another possiblity would be a typical Japanese racist attitude against foreigners?
