Because life is random, there is no such thing as fate or pre-ordained plan, bad things happen to ALL people because of coincidence, Murphy's Law, and random acts of nature and people. When the tectonic plates crash into each other and cause human calamities, are they worried about who's good and bad? Don't make me laugh.

To think that good people are protected or somehow immune to the laws of nature is not logical or rational. If you start believing in fate and pre-ordained plans, then you're reverted to superstitious CAVE MAN logic....don't do it. Just kidding, do and believe what you want.

People mistakenly believe that there's some divine principle forcing fairness and rewarding kind acts. In reality, nothing you do matters. Life is meaningless on an individual basis, and on a collective basis humans are the only species to wantonly and willingly desecrate the world which they inhabit and inflict unnecessary suffering amongst themselves and other species. The world would be a lot more "fair" without us, face it.

Personaly i believe it has everything to do with our own personal expectation. It's easy for people to say they are keeping a "good" frame of mind about the outcomes we desire in life. But the doubt within ourselves is sometimes so suttle that we ourselves tend not to notice. Also very important i believe is remembering that even the "bad" things that happen to us can very well be the most important things. Assuming the worst too quickly is a common mistake. It helps...in my opinion...to see life as an unfolding adventure that is leading all humanity, individualy, towards our human destiny. What is our human destiny u ask? To that question i say...ALL people should read The Celestine Prophecy By: James Redfield. I for one, believe the spiritual messages to be right as rain...take my advice if you even think you might be interested.

Firstly we need to understand what being good actually means.
They say what goes around comes around that is called Karma. As you sew so shall you reap. Many people believe in reincarnation and that past deeds from other lifetimes are rewarded or payed for in later births, and that's how the cycle of reincarnation continues. You will find some people are more fortunate than others and some appear to not deserve the poor handouts of life. There's an explanation to everything. I could go on but space is limited!!

Life is neutral. It is neither fair, nor unfair. The best line about fairness comes from the movie "The Unforgiven" where Clint Eastwood tells the sheriff, "Fair ain't got nothing to do with it." Terriible things happen to both good and not so good people. Just happens.

Question harkens to religion and each has their own answer to the question.

A religious explanation is that the good people are being tested by God for the ultimate reward... in other words like gold is put to fire to purify.

What I believe is that good natured people are naturally trusting and straight forward... as a result they become easy prey to people with sinister designs and ulterior motives. However, truly good natured people remain intrinsically unaffected by these reverses and sufferings because of their ever present positive attitude. That is what is the real advantage of being good natured..... a simple and positive mind.

it is because only we(good natured people) can bear those bad natured people. BAd people dont have to care about stuff while good people have to try their best to not conflict with other people....in the end, they didnt get what they want

Life is not unfair, it's random. Good and bad things happen to good and bad people.

I always wondered the same thing. My husband and I are both good people, work hard, and nothing ever goes right. We just keep hanging in there and hope that our luck changes.
