Kuala Lumpur(K.L.) and Penang. The best place to shop and eat.

When I went to Malaysia, I enjoyed KL as there is plenty to do and is of course the capital! with the twin towers, the temple in a cave, KL zoo, China town, etc...
Not cities, but the Highlands are well worth a trip, a cooler (not cold!) climate, winding roads, tea plantations, etc... Also, I would reccomend Penang, a lovely island with colonial buildings and a fort. A trip up Penang hill, the snake temple, the old town and the Chinese mansion plus many more!

Melaka and then I just go to China or other countries....you think KL has the best shopping, wait till you go to Hong Kong, Ginza in Tokyo or even Shanghai.

Heck Wal-Mart in the US sells cheaper electronics than Malaysia and half the crap there comes from Malaysia. The Malaysian government is really screwing you guys with the taxes.

i reckon u shouldnt miss visiting to kuching sarawak. although it is not the best city but worth it a try. have u ever seen a museum for cats only? if u have the chance to visit kuching, give it a try to cultural village where you can see various kind of lifestyle there, performances.. matang wildlife rainforest is a cool place too.. have a go with damai beach, always crowded ~ n dont missed the laksa n kolo mee in kch since they taste differently compared to the west.. hope u like it, have fun!
