Is it worth buying a 2Gb memory card for the Wii? or would a 1Gb memory card be enough space for at least 8 games?

Even 64MB is enough for 8 gamesaves.
If you mean virtual console games, I recommend at least 512MB. Remember that virtual console games only work on one Wii.
The only way to play a virtual console game on something other than your Wii involves something illegal, but I heard such stuff is legal in Australia if the original console had regional lockout.

The 2 gb is fairly cheap, around 50 bucks, so just go ahead and buy it. Just remember that the VC is expanding so you may find yourself buying more and more games, so it would be nice to have that extra storage space. Better safe than sorry.

You should buy the 1Gb to stop you thinking you should buy more games, just upgrade every time you don't have enough space!

plenty of space on 1gig - just downlaoded two games from Wii downloads and they haven't even used the built in memory

if the 2 gig is less than double the price, then i would get the 2 gig. you probably wouldn't need to get another one then

1 gb is enough . game can only take 65kb
