If this is referring to the UK I would say yes.This possibly took place during the later years of Maggie Thatcher.killing off the trade unions started the decay and finally the sale of council land and later privatisation of services.There is not enough space to go into too deeply.This only my opinion.i may be wrong

can you state if you are basing your course work from a UK perspective or a USA one please as the replies vary greatly depending on which country you are using.

Oh and so that i dont YET again get a bloody violation for not answering the question............. NOPE i do not think the golden age of the welfare state has ended.

I don't think so...I meet so many people on SS disability that could work...I am just a poor working slob and I am subject to drug testing...I think it only fair the people receiving MY money be required to do the same.
