Do you have a tree branch hanging on your roof? If so, cut it back.

If that's not the case, call an exterminator, it could be carpenter ants which could cause worse damage than termites.

The trick is :
1). Find out where they come from first (the nest). If it's outside of the house, you should be able to wack it with a pesticide, antpowder is widley available (although boiling water works wonders, if repeated over several days).
2). How are they getting into the house? Follow the route and fill the holes.
3). If the nest is outside the house, put ant powder all around the house where the wall meets the ground and repeat after about 2 weeks.
4). If the nest in inside the house, you may have to get professionals in.
5). Or......are they doing any harm? No, then let them be.

Live and let live!

We had that problem in our last house ... ants were very tiny and kept finding a way in from outside regardless of how we treated them. Root of the problem was moisture in the house ... which was a much biggger problem. Since this is a bathroom, you could have the same issue. If so, fix that and the ant problem can probably be resolved using suggestions related to finding the source of the nest/entry.

Hello, I had a similar problem. You can buy ant spray and hit the point of entry, but they will surely find another way inside. You have to find their nest and attack it. You can use some ant baits, this will take some time but it will help to kill their hive and ultimately (hopefully) end that problem or you can pony up a few Hundred dollars and call an exterminator and let them do all the work.

Buy one of those ant traps. Basically they resemble plastic containers with slits for the ants to enter. Ants get attracted to the gel inside and they take it home to their nest for the rest to eat, thereby exterminating the entire colony, because the gel is a slow-acting poison. Place the ant trap on the ant's trail in the bathroom.
