Why do you libs find confronting our enemies, eliminating ists, preventing ist attacks, and spreading freedom evil. You complain we interrogate ists and Al Queda leaders when these techniques give us information that prevents ist attacks. We engage ist in the arab world (Yes, Al Queda fighters are in Iraq and have been for years). We have been at war with muslim extremist since 1979, and they aren't going to be nice if we be nice to them.

This country as gone too far with political correctness. We cannot hurt anyone's feelings. The terrorists have a different theory. They will do what they have to do harm to any American citizens whether it be man, woman or child. Some libs believe if "we" act civilized to them, they in turn will return the courtesy. Never happen. Some of these libs should ponder this: If a terrorist had their child and they captured a terrorist who knew of their where-abouts do you think they would be concerned on HOW they got information to save their child from harm? I doubt it. I know some may think this hypathetical might be ridiculous but in principle, I don't think so. The President is looking out for OUR interest....do what is necessary to protect my family and all citizens of the USA....period....All this "sensitivity" concern will only do us harm in the long run...The terrorists DO NOT have a conscience...they have a goal: To Kill Americans in any way they can....Sitting and talking it over with them will NOT change that. We've already gotten ONE wake-up call on 9/11...That was reality. Do they need another wake-up call at the expense of losing lives on American soil?? Do what you have to do to protect your own.

Like I said, the left has never had the spine to stand up and defend our nations security, they would rather run to Canada and England like President Clinton did and protest war.The same people that claim we are killing innocents are the same ones that believe in sucking an innocent human life out of a womans body because the baby will be an inconvience to them. The hypocracy from the left continues to come to surface.Look, just less than a year ago you had Biden,Pelosi and more calling for more troops in Iraq and now that the President has decided to send more troops, they want to say that plan will fail. But where is their plan?Oh I am sorry, they believe like the french do,pull up the dress and wave that white flag and run.

Oh and we must not forget, the leaders of Syria and Iran publically agreed with the democrats not to send more troops in..,shouldnt that bother them that the terrorists are in their corner?

Exactly which lives are being protected? Mine? How is me having to wear paper slippers in an airport line "protecting" me? Or being told to duct tape plastic sheets to the doors and windows in case of a terrorist gas attack? Do you really think there is any protection there? Have YOU done it? In Nov 06, the REPUBLICAN Congress removed a $650 million appropriation to inspect cargo coming into our ports. REMOVED IT. Apparently they don't believe there's a threat there. How is that "protecting" me or my neigbors? I;m not tyring to attack your beliefs I just want you to clarify what you mean by "protecting American lives".

Maybe you mean "protecting" the American soldiers in Iraq. Such as the little, inadequate or just NO body armor given them, to the point families were buying it retail before their kids went over to Iraq. See this link for proof:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2004-03-26-body-armor_x.htm
See this link if you can stomache what our soldiers are being forced to eat and drink, because Halliburton only made billions and couldn't afford to get the feces out of our soldiers' drinking water. Or the fact their Commander in Chief has cut pay and benefits for the "troops he supports so well". THis was, of course to help pay for the tax cuts and oil subsidies you and pay for anyway, it's just that the soldiers on the ground got another dig" I really don't see which Americans lives are being protected here.

Or do you mean those Godless terrorists down at Guantanamo Bay, picked up and help without charges for years now, some of them? Is that who I'm being protected against? Some of the prisoners down there in Cuba are American citizens too, either by birth or naturalized. Last year Bush signed into law a bill which make sit impossible for prisoners to be heard in a civillian court of law, but does not allow redress by a military tribunal either, meaning they have no rights as detainees whatsoever apparently. Click this link too please to read more about that issue? http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070111/ts_nm/guantanamo_protests_dc
Remember this well: If they can do it to THEM, one day YOU will be considered one of "THEM". One day, it won't only happen to people you dont know. One day, the knock will be at YOUR door.

Look Im sure youre going to call me a commie or a libtard or something equally non responsive, but in fact I am a registered Republican and a US Army veteran

Again, Afghanistan was the target; Iraq was planned long before 9/11 and the planning was lies. Who the hell wants to be nice to these thugs? You want us bogged down in a civil war, sapping our troop strength, taking our aim off the search for Al Qaeda, letting OBL escape because Bush and his cronies concocted a pile of dung and invaded a country that posed no threat. The UN sanctions were keeping Saddam penned up and Al Qaeda WAS NOT in Iraq. And you talk about spreading freedom? I don't give a rat's behind for Iraq and it sure as hell has not been worth the 3000 American lives, billions of dollars and tens of thousand Iraqi lives. Bush sets up he ISG then ignores its recommendations when they don't agree with his simplistic ideas. What a damn fool he is.

If this war was run by a Democratic president, you folks would be screaming for his head for incompetence. As it is, you praise the most foolish foreign policy decision in 100 years. Congratulations and welcome to the swamp.

REMEMBER WHEN YOU SAY PROTECTING AMERICAN LIVES YOU ARE ALSO SAYING PROTECTING PEOPLE WHO ( MANY OF WHOM ARE KIN TO THOSE WHO ARE CONSIDERED THE ENEMY) AMERICA IS COMPOSED OF EVERY NATIONALITY ON EARTH. AT LEAST ONE OF MY RELATIVES HAS FOUGHT IN EVERY WAR THERE IS. THEY ARE BURIED ALL OVER THE WORLD. IT WOULD BE KINDA NICE IF ONE OF THEM WOULD LIVE LONG ENOUGH SO I CAN GET TO KNOW THEM PERSONALLY INSTEAD OF AT THE CEMETERY.

You are protecting American Oil interests. Just as Britain (where I am from) by sicophantically joining in is destabilising the region and directly putting it's own citizens at risk at home and abroad. Do I condone t.errorism? NO. Do I understand their anger at the West (especially America and Britain)? YES

Protecting American lives is only evil when there is a republican in the white house. If a democrat was in charge of this, it would all be good.

Democrats always protect our enemies.
That's their way of showing their Liberal voters "they care".
They show their "inner feelings & female side".
They want to give the captured terrorists their "Democrat Group Hug".

But they never complained about the be-headings of Americans.
