hay, have someone press lightly on the fuel cover door while you activate the release, that should get it to open for you. after that you may want to spray on some lubrication on the release mechanism good luck:)

I had the same problem a few nights ago on my 2005 Civic. When you open the trunk, look to the left. There's a little plastic nob that you have to unscrew. Take that off, pull back the carpet, and reach in there for the release. Just twist it sideways (either way) and it'll pop the door open.
